You can expect to interview candidates who are:
Experienced: Minimum 5 years of professional culinary
experience with a wide repertoire of recipes, ranging from
American classics and California cuisine to Italian,
Mexican, and Pan-Asian, including desserts. 90% of our
candidates also have a culinary degree.
Organized: Provide accurate purchasing records and a
week's menu in advance for your review/approval; work
neatly, keeping kitchen clean and equipment in order.
Polished: Able to interact professionally and courteously
with you, your guests and friends, as well as other
household staff.
Discreet: Able to respect your privacy and maintain
confidentiality; all chef candidates have signed a
confidentiality agreement with respect to meeting with
you and discussing your position.
Reliable and Flexible: Complete cooking duties and
provide meals in timely manner; willing to graciously
accommodate extra guests or dietary requests with little
notice; avoid personal scheduling conflicts.
Mature: Genuinely willing to listen, placing the highest
priority on creating menus that incorporate your requests
and suit your particular taste, are self-managed and directed.
Secure: Performed by a professional firm, our
background checks report on the past seven years and
include criminal history, driving records, and resume
verification. In addition, we require and validate at least
five personal recommendations for each candidate.
